Lalaria beach, is one of the most astonishing beaches in Skiathos with its milky turquoise waters, smooth little white pebbles -which is what “lalaria” means in local idiom- and impressive rock formations that plunge into the sea. The only way to reach this earthly paradise is by hopping on a tour boat at the port of Skiathos Town. Famous for its soft golden sand and crystalline waters, the beach of Koukounaries is embraced by a dense pine forest, hiding a beautiful lake behind it, named Strofilias, which is a natural habitat of many bird species, some of which rare. Kanapitsa is a narrow sandy beach with cerulean waters, on the east coast of the Kalamaki peninsula, on the south of Skiathos, where one may also find many well-defined walking trails that traverse the peninsular region – perfect for carefree strolls in nature.
